I Set Up a Wordpress Blog

Hello folks,

Now I don’t really think too many people actually care, but well just for the record, I set up a Wordpress blog recently:

You can have a look at it. As of now, it’s basically a compilation of my Quora contents with minor adjustments. I figured that one day I need to have my own platform anyway, since Quora isn’t exactly the best place when it comes to appreciating user’s contents. Well, actually it’s more like not appreciating user contents who don’t follow their so-called “rules”, if you want me to be a bit more precise.

Why not here in Medium, you might ask? Partly because I figured that Medium acts as a kind of social media as well where your content is consistently being pitted against other writers (which the last thing I need after all that happened really), so I will just put up my content the way I want it there.

And while we’re at it — just as a bonus content, I noticed few weeks ago that in some of my Quora answers, somebody or something actually reset my view counts:

Do you think that the teaching of scientific method/thinking at schools in Indonesia is (in)adequate?

Why, you look at that.

How does neuroscience and psychology view the following statement, “All humans are inherently evil”? Is it a confirmation bias, genetics, or something else?

Another one. Some of the HTML layouts of the saved contents are jumbled up. You can ignore that.

Which Indonesian province do you find least interesting to visit?

One more of these.

There are several other answers that have their views reset, but I’ll just put up a few to give you the idea. I’m not sure if that happens to anyone else as I can’t be bothered to check that site too much for now. Looks like my move to back up my content few times back then really have some use now. Who would’ve predicted I can use them to expose this madness?

It’s pretty random though, it just jumps over to several topics, regardless of the number of views and upvotes the affected answers get. So I can’t even be sure why that happened. I mean, I suspected a kind of personal vendetta, but then again that’s too much of a wild guess.

I’d leave you to decide what is up with that behavior. But one thing I know for sure, this is the first platform I know so far that could actually cut-off your view count randomly and sporadically. Imagine if places like YouTube could actually allow their system to act that way. There will be outrage for sure. But since nobody really cares about Quora, whelp what can I say?

Anyway, do check my Wordpress if you want.
